Well its hard to believe but I am glad to say this weekend is over. Friday started out with a nice drive back home to help my mom do some work at my grandmothers house. This is the first time I have been in the house since she passed. It’s amazing how simple things such as smell generate memories. But at the same time it was difficult to see the house in such shambles.  After about 10 min I could not be in the house anymore, it was just to much to take in. My main purpose in going there was to get plant and flower starts from her garden. Slowly mom and I are migrating plants to our gardens. Some these plants have been there since the house was built 60 some years ago. After a nice dinner with the parents and a video session with the dogs ( Oh I forgot to mention I got my new HD cam on friday. :-D), we headed back to Toledo. Got home played with the cam some more drank a couple beers, and planned our Sat. morning out.

I had wanted to get up early to go to Anderson’s early to get tomato plants, and I had some things to do around the house. Sat. evening we were going to Detroit to see Ben Gibbard at the Majestic. I will get to that later. So 8:30am rolls around we eat, walk the dog and get ready to go. I walk out to my car and F%$#!!!! Window smashed. So get this…some idiot breaks my window…leans in…opens the glove box…misses seeing my iPod…instead takes my iPod transmitter, 2 pairs of Spy sunglasses, and my change drawer with about $5.00 in pennies in it. Thats it! WTF! Anyway talk about a total deflation. So I call the cops, call insurance…get a glass replacement scheduled. Things are not so bad. So that eve. we pack-up our friends car and head to Detroit. We get lost going there. At the concert Ben Gibbard, Johnathan Rice and David Bazan. This concert easily made my top 10. John was great. David was good. And Ben was amazing. Concert ended early. But of course its Detroit and we get lost again cause of all the construction downtown. So get home about 2ish and its time to crash.

Sunday was not to bad. Chris and I hung out all day working in the garage. He finished a table and I re-framed my garage door and fitted it with a deadbolt. We had lunch at Organic Bliss. Its a new Deli/Bakery on Central. I had Mediterranean wrap and it was amazing. Chris had the Toledo grilled cheese and he said the same.
